Just got back from my Man-waxing appointment and I couldn't be happier with the service. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. It was my first time having hair removed and I felt very well taken care of. I will definitely be going back.
OUTSTANDING SERVICE!
My husband had put a pedicure for himself on his birthday wishlist. Since he is a diabetic, it was essential to find someone knowledgeable about the special needs. When I called HM and spoke with Leslie, she immediately put my concerns at ease with her obvious knowledge of diabetic footcare.
Needless to say, my hubby's pedi was a total success and he loved it. And, I liked so much what I saw that I scheduled my first ever pedicure. It was the experience of a lifetime for me, and my feet feel awesome. This is the cleanest salon I have ever seen. The owner is almost anal about cleanliness issues, and it shows. The staff is friendly and very professional, and I love having found a great salon for pedis and hair care.
This place is FABULOUS! Yesterday was my husband's 30th birthday and I really wanted to take him out for a pedicure. My husband was reluctant, as any man might be, but when he found out that pedicures included foot rubs, he said he was in, so long as I didn't tell any of his friends. I wanted to take him to a place that he would be comfortable, that would do a good job, and was also super sanitary. (A friend of mine got a horrible infection from a not-so-clean nail salon two years ago.) We are new to Colorado Springs, so I spent a lot of time googling places. When I saw this place - High Maintenance and Manscaping - I knew it would be a great fit. I looked at the reviews and most were stellar. There were a couple of bad ones, which made me a bit concerned, but we gave it a try anyway.
I'm SOOO glad we did because this place was PERFECT! They were so nice and easy going, and made my husband and I feel right at home! He loved it! They explained every thing they were doing, which made him feel very comfortable, and even took care of his gross calloused feet (which are now soft as a baby!) They even have a section of their shop in the back called the "man cave" where you can get a hair cut, pedicure, etc in front of a huge flat screen TV. They really know how to cater to men! Of course they are great with women too.
Their website doesn't list their prices, which is kind of annoying, and left me concerned about cost. But they are VERY reasonable. They have 30 minute "Express Pedicures" starting at $14. Their highest end pedicure was $40 and it was fabulous! It included a massage, parafin wax dip and they let me keep the bottle of nail polish. So cool! Mens haircuts (including shampoo and massage) are $15 and womens are $25. They have it all and are very reasonably priced.
Most important, they are very clean and hygienic! They told us how they disinfect all of their instruments and facilities and pointed out that every worker was licensed. I was very impressed by their attention to all of these important details.
My husband and I can't wait to go back!

I love the absolute cleanliness of this facility and the hygienic practices I have not experienced in any other salon! Our entire family comes to High Maintenance for haircuts (husband too), and to get our nails done. Thank you! Mrs. Carol, the salon's owner, in-house and my personal esthitician, offers years of expertise, an elite line of GREEN products (Sanitas, Zoya, Qtica and more), and innovative equipment to service any of your beauty needs. The ambiance of this salon makes it the perfect getaway from the rigors of day to day life. The soothing colors, aromatic scents, and who could forget that warm cup of tea (coffee, water, or your preference) is one of my favorite reasons to go and indulge in the many services offered. The salon is always impeccably clean, soothing to the senses, and the staff there is always friendly and professional. Infinite thumbs up for my favorite salon.

I've had my eyebrows waxed at countless salons all over town. Never went back to a single one. Either they were over priced, lousy customer service or a mediocre job. This place is not only the best I have even been to, it is also the cheapest. The pedicures are amazing too. It's great for women, and men, looking for high quality service but without all the snooty dim lighting and little fountains in the corner. Bright cheerful atmosphere, clean and modern, great staff.
A+++ for cleanliness! I will ONLY come here to get my nails done. The hair stylist is great too! Love the staff.
